I would like you all to join me in welcoming our newest member to the senior management team, John Thomas.  As Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing John will report directly to me and will be responsible for all of our sales and marketing functions.  Although John has held a number of senior management positions with major US companies he is new to the janitorial industry so please take every opportunity to make him feel welcome as he settles in.  John and his family will be relocating to Tampa from upstate NY so don't mention alligators to him.

I would like to announce that Dave Ward has accepted the position of Regional Vice President for Region 2 and National Account Director for Sears/Kmart effective January 25th.  Dave has over 23+ years in the facility services industry and most recently held the position of President for Management Cleaning Control. Dave brings an impressive wealth of industry knowledge as well as executive leadership abilities.

I would like to announce the recent hire of Jeremy Dieterle as SVP Operation. Jeremy will be replacing Sherry who will be moving over to assist Pete and me in a number of new endeavors. Jeremy brings over 15 years of experience in business to business within the service industries including SVP of Operation for IPT. Jeremy will be focusing on implementing a more scalable operating model in customer service and vendor management through the application of innovative processes, staff development and technology improvements.

Mitchell and I are very excited and encouraged to announce that we have hired Alan Butcher as our new CEO/President of Diversified. Mitchell and I have had the privilege to know and work with Alan for 5 years and have witnessed his abilities to run and grow companies. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Diversified along with strong relationships with our current and potential customers.

Alan has been in the service industry for over 28 years, most recently as President of IPT, a national provider of outsourced maintenance services to the retail industry. Prior to that Alan ran a large construction and HVAC service company in southern California and was the west coast General Manager for Enron Energy Services retail markets. Alan has a BSME from the University of Kentucky, is a licensed general contractor and holds numerous industry certifications.

Alan will continue our efforts to be the best in our industry while growing profits and revenues through the challenging market we face today. He will work with you to continue to carry out Diversified's objectives and strive to maintain our purpose.
